Eritrea: Residents of Geza-Banda Area Conduct Campaign With a View to Promoting Environmental Hygiene

Asmara — The residents of Geza-Banda area, Asmara, conducted a campaign in collaboration with the members of the People's Army with a view to promoting environmental hygiene. They further indicated that the undertaking involved activities such as the cleaning of dumping areas and doing away with areas of mosquito reproduction, besides afforestation.

Among the city residents, Ms. Alganesh Woldearegai, Mr. Segid Tewoldemedhin, Ms. Hayat Abe and Mr. Ogbazgi Gebresilasie noted the positive impact of environmental sanitation in safeguarding community wellbeing, and stated that active popular participation was witnessed in the process.
