Nigeria: Kidnappings - New PDP Blasts Police Over Negligence

The Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has upbraided the police for allowing itself to be distracted by politics instead of directing its energies towards improving the precarious security situation in the country.

The party stated this while congratulating Archbishop Ignatius C.O. Kattey, Dean of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria, and Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), on their recent release by kidnappers. The party also described the death of former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, as a national calamity.
