Gambia: 71 Households Affected By Disaster in LRR

LRR — At least 71 households of about 2300 people have been affected either by windstorm or flash flood in 67 communities across LRR following heavy rains in the region, says Lamin Saidy, the regional disaster coordinator in Lower River Region (LRR).

Saidy made these disclosure Monday in an interview with the Daily Observer. He said an assessment was conducted by the regional disaster management committee,and that out of the figure mentioned above, 781 people are currently displaced and housed by neighbours in their various communities.
