Displaced women living in the slums of Jinja have been trained on entrepreneurship skills and matters concerning land ownership. The women included those infected with and affected by HIV/Aids, widows and the disadvantaged.
Their common goal is to acquire decent and affordable housing with the savings from the activities they will be engaged in. The training was organised by Shelter and Settlements Alternatives: Uganda Human Settlements Network (SSA: UHSNET), a local NGO.
