Somalia: Speaker Holds Closed Door Meeting With Different Civil Groups From Bai and Bakool Regions

Baidoa — the speaker of Somalia's federal parliament Prof Sheikh Osman Jawari has today held indoor meetings with different civil groups among them elders, intellectuals, and politicians from Bai and Bakol regions.

Mr. Jawari and civil groups discussed the formation of a region state in south western regions of Somalia. 50 members of parliament gathered in Baidoa the headquarter town of Bai region in the past few days to arranging the formation of a new regional state consisting of the two regions located in south western Somalia.
