Sierra Leone: Over Non-Payment of Rents for OAU Villas - Sierra Leones Loses Le850 Million

Member of Parliament of the ruling All People Congress Party, representing constituency 56 in Port Loko District, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Works, Housing and Infrastructure, has said the country was losing Le.850 million in revenue from rents owed by occupants of the OAU villas at Hill Station.

Hon. Kombor Kamara has vowed to provide support to the powerless Serra Leone Housing Cooperation to ensure that tenants occupying the plush villas pay their rents, or are issued with quit notices, as many potential tenants have applied to occupy the villas and are willing to and ready to pay their rents.
