Two hundred hectares of land are being prepared for production of cassava in Lutau sector, municipality of Kiwaba Nzoji, in northern Malanje province.
This is part of Agriculture integrated project implemented by Israeli institution.
The information was disclosed Wednesday by the project manager, Yotan Lobel, who stated that apart from cassava, the project also includes installation of a factory with a capacity to processing 8 tonnes of cassava flour per day.
He also said that the initiative foresees the creation of two thousand goats and 15,000 chickens.
The undertaking also includes the creation of 100 greenhouses to grow tomatoes, pepper, eggplant and onion to benefit 50 families living around the Lutau farm.
According to Yotan Lobel, the egg production will start within 9 months, while cassava from May 2014.
