Member of France Senate Friendship Group for Horn of Africa said France is keen to intensify its existing relations with Ethiopia.
Holding talks with members of the House of Federation the delegates said human resource, investment and peace are the areas the country desires to work with Ethiopia.
House speaker Kassa Tekleberhan for his part said the visit of the delegate remains is significant to share experience and strengthen bilateral relations.
Likewise, the delegate conferred with Ethio-France friendship group with the House of People's Representatives. During the discussion Deputy Speaker of the House Shitaye Minale stressed the need for strengthening people to people relations of the two countries.
The delegate had also conferred with Foreign Affairs State Minister Ambassador Berhane Gebrekristos late Friday.
On the occasion delegation head and Senator of French citizens living abroad, Chairman of the Friendship group "France-Horn of Africa" Louis Duvernos said language is significant to further strengthen existing relation between the two countries.
Duvernos expressed readiness of France to support human resource development in Ethiopia in this regard.
Ambassador Berhane on his part said Ethiopia accepts the request to include the language in the syllabus.
The State Minister on the occasion briefed the delegation on construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is being built taking into consideration the benefits of the lower riparian countries.
Ambassador Berhane said Ethiopia is working in collaboration with lower riparian countries to curb the threat reflected by Egypt.
Members of the delegation have left for the area, where the Dam is being constructed, to have first -hand information.
