Juba, South Sudan — As part of a nationwide initiative, a three-week long measles and polio vaccination campaign concluded on 7 September in Pibor County. The campaign targeted Dorein and Labrab areas, the centre of thousands of people displaced by recent violence.
Some 5,600 children under 5 years were vaccinated against polio and about 3,280 children between 6 months and 5 years were vaccinated against measles. Health partners achieved 100 per cent of those targeted for polio and 91 per cent of those targeted for measles based on vaccination usage.
