The Cabinet Secretary for East African Affairs Phyllis Kandie has said the country remains safe despite the Westgate Mall attack on Saturday. She said tourists should continue visiting Kenya and appealed to foreign countries against issuing travel advisories.
Kandie said all tourist facilities across the country operate normally despite its numerous challenges. "We affirm that life is going on normally in all parts of the country despite this grave and enormous challenges. We wish to assure that Kenya is peaceful and our security agencies are doing everything possible to ensure that everyone is safe," she said.
Kandie was speaking at a press conference held in Nairobi yesterday. She said the terrorist attack is an isolated incident Kandie said the country is stable and no foreign friends should issue travel advisories.
