The first Ethio-Polish business forum was held on Monday (September 23) at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa. As part of the Polish delegation headed by Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister, Ms. Beata Stelmach, representatives of 21 Polish companies have been exploring different business and investment opportunities here in Ethiopia.
Opening the Forum, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhane Gebre-Christos stressed that Ethiopia has been one of the fastest growing economies in the world for the past decade and the opportunities for Polish investors was correspondingly substantial.
On the occasion, Ms. Stelmach said that the two countries have enjoyed an excellent relationship and cooperated in different international fora. She noted that laying the foundation for an expanded future business relationship requires going beyond the political area. The forum attracted many members of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce who held discussions with the representatives of the Polish companies.
