The Coffee Plantation Development Enterprise (CPDE) has said it has envisaged earning 380 million Birr in revenue from sale of coffee and other agricultural products during the current budget year.
Enterprise Director-General, Ephrem MersiheHazen told ENA that the Enterprise is working to supply 60,000 quintals of coffee to local and international market during the reported period.
He said the Enterprise exports coffee to 15 coffee processing companies in eight countries including Belgium, Germany, Italy, U.S.A, France, Australia, the Netherlands and South Africa.
The Director said the Enterprise has managed to increase productivity per hectare to 11 quintals and the amount of coffee harvested per annum to 48,843 in average.
He said the Enterprise also set target to sale maize, banana, honey and fattened animals to local market during the reported period.
The Enterprise has been cultivating coffee and other agricultural products on over 7,910 hectares and close to 1,685 hectares land respectively.
Established 30 years ago, CPDE is the first modern coffee plantation enterprise which grows, processes and exports coffee and produces cereals and honey.
