Opposition Members of Parliament this afternoon staged a walk out from parliament after Agriculture Minister Bob Sichinga accused them of not researching on issues before contributing.

Sichinga who was had just presented a ministerial statement on the state of agriculture in the country following the controversial maize marketing and input distribution exercise said the opposition rarely researched before asking questions prompting a point of order from MMD Nalikwanda Member of Parliament Geoffrey Lungwangwa.

However, in his ruling Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini said he did not see anything wrong in Sichinga's statement prompting oppositon MPs to walk out.

Lungwangwa later said the MPs were disappointed by Sichinga's utterances as they tended to demean the opposition law makers.
