THE Narok government plans to put up milk cooling plants in its six constituencies. Governor Samuel Tunai said the project will cost Sh150 million. It is aimed at empowering the dairy farmers in the region.
Speaking during the opening of Narok West CDF office in Mulot trading centre yesterday, he said the dairy industry is critical in the development of the county. Tunai was with MPs Patrick Ntutu (Narok West),
Paul Bii (Chepalungu), Benard Bett (Bomet East) and Leonard Sang (Buret). "Our farmers keep livestock for sentimental reasons. The available milk market has been grabbed by dairy farmers from other counties," Tunai said.
