Tunis — Two terrorists were arrested and two others escaped after National Guard units raided a house in Mornaguia on Saturday, the Interior Ministry announced in a statement.
Hand-made bombs, TNT explosives and tasers were seized during the operation, the same source added.
The raid conducted on Saturday by security forces is connected to a car chase on Wednesday night involving National Guard units and a suspected car in the region of Oued Ellil.
The group affiliated to "Ansar Al-Sharia," would be involved in the blast of the National Guard car last July in Goulette, the statement added.
A National Guard patrol had found, last Thursday at dawn, a pistol, ammunition, tasers and passports inside a vehicle at the end of a car chase on the road between M'nihla and Manouba. The driver managed to run away on foot.
