Egypt: President Open to Idea of Holding Presidential Elections Before Parliamentary Polls - Adviser

In an interview with "MBC Egypt" channel, Media Adviser to Egypt's interim presidency Ahmed el el-Meslemani said that the president is open to the idea of holding presidential elections prior to the parliamentary ones, after requests made by a number of several political powers.

"The president is willing to listen to the idea ", he said.

El-Meslemani added that there are no specific guarantees for the results of the coming parliamentary and presidential elections and whether or not they will be dominated by Islamists.
