Asmara, 6th September 2013, The municipal advisory office of Ghinda city conducts assessment of its work accomplishment of the past six months.
Chairperson of the city's municipal advisory office Mr. Adem Idris said that the main task of the advisory office is to listen to people's complaints and to find solutions by making deliberations with concerned bodies, to foster and enhance the relationship between administrative offices and people, as well as to increase the city's income. Pointing out that tasks implemented in the past six months were mainly focused in the development of educational services and reinforcement of sports clubs among others, Mr. Idris said that future plans of the office would be focused on the expansion of the city's infrastructure, enhancement of development programs, and the issue of rental houses.
Administrator of Ghindae sub-zone on this part said that member of the advisory office have been engaged in activities aimed at improving day-to-day living standards of people. The administrator also reminded member of the office as regards the need of working in collaboration with the people so as to achieve better outcome.
Indicating that construction of dams, protection and development of enclosures among other work accomplishments have been implemented in the past six months, a report by the city's development committee makes it clear that construction of water reservoir thanks as well as securing safety of drill pumps from flood are programs charted out to be implemented in the future.
Participant of the assessment meeting on their part expressed views as regards the expansion of electricity supply distribution as well as the need of an ambulance in the Regional referral hospital among others.
