SECURITY chiefs in Eldoret have convened an emergency meeting to discuss the release of 32 terror suspects from police custody. Uasin Gishu county commissioner Abdi Mohammed met with security chiefs in the area to discus the matter.
Eldoret East police boss Nelson Taliti said only 12 suspects were arraigned in court yesterday. He said the suspects were arrested at a road block early this week. An officer the suspects had been arrested while travelling in a bus from Nairobi to Kitale.
He said they had no documents showing how they entered the country. "We were surprised to be told that some of them had been released and no proper reasons were given," he said.
