Somalia: Federal Government Resumes Talks With Secessionist Region in Somalia

The federal government of Somalia is expected to resume the talks with the breakaway region of Somaliland in November this year. According to Somaliland minister of trade Mohamed Abdullahi Omar who is in Turkey currently the third round of the talks between the federal government of Somalia and the leader of the breakaway region of Somaliland will take place on November.

Delegates from the two sides are expected to reach Turkey on early November, the minister. Two weeks ago Somalia prime minister Abdi Farah Shirdon has visited Turkey and confirmed the federal government will be willingly committed tio continue the reconciliation process within its people.
