Nigeria: Kwara Moves to Control House Rent

Ilorin — Kwara State government is plan-ning to control rent paid by tenants in the state. This comes as the Rent Control and Recovery of Premises Bill, 2013, passed second reading as the state House of Assembly yesterday.

The bill sent to the House by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed seeks to, among others, control house rent by landlords and protect the interest of prospective and current tenants.
