The extraordinary session of the African Union, taking place Friday and Saturday, will focus on the continent's participation in the International Criminal Court. With the summit's agenda in mind, our blogger suggests that Kenya should take cues from his own country, Rwanda.

Certain African leaders' frustrations with the Hague-based International Criminal Court can best be summed up by Ugandan president, Yoweri Museveni. "We supported the ICC until recently when it has completely been distorted," he recently told journalists in Kampala. And it is because of this 'distortion' that the African Union is holding an extraordinary session in Addis Ababa on Friday and Saturday.
