A terror suspect has been arraigned in Mombasa Court for plotting a terror attack and being behind the Westgate attack in Nairobi. The accused Swaleh Abdalla Said apperaed before Mombasa Senior resident magistrate Richard Ondenyo and denied the charges of being in possession of a hand grenade and planning to carryout terror attack.
He has been remanded at Makupa police station in Mombasa to allow police to complete their investigation. Meanwhile man appeared in Court and claimed that he was recruited by Swaleh to join Alshabab in Somalia in 2004.
He told journalists that the accused was member of alshabab and he is willing to testify in court to assist police in building strong case for the accused. Yussuf Turkana said he escaped from Somalia after his four colleagues were killed in Somalia
