Morocco and South Africa settled for a 1-1 draw in an international friendly held on Friday in Agadir.
Tokelo Rantie scored for Bafana Bafana early in the game before Issam El Adoua drew even in the second half.
The encounter served a preparatory test for both teams ahead of future assignments including next year's Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa. The two teams also failed to make it to the final round of the continental qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014.
After nine minutes, the visitors were up through Rantie, who drilled home a low shot that beat the Moroccan goalie.
Six minutes from recess, the Atlas Lions leveled after several unsuccessful attempts in the first half. El Adoua headed past Itumeleng Khune from a free-kick for the deserved equalizer.
The Moroccans multiplied in midfield and attack in search of the winner, but the South African defence remained resolute.
The two sides are expected to face-off in a return encounter in South Africa next year.
Morocco will host the 2015 edition of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
