Marka — Residents of Marka town located in the lower Shabelle region of Somalia confirmed to Shabelle radio that two grenade bombs were today detonated and thrown at a military base located at the heart of the town.
The culprits behind the incident have not been identified and the degree of casualties caused by the explosions is not yet known. Government officials in Marka town declined details about the explotions.
