BONA Mugabe and her boyfriend Simba Chikore will wed in March next year, President Robert Mugabe revealed on Thursday.
Mugabe said her first-born daughter, who is set to graduate with a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance next month, "will be graduating again... to start a family".
Bona, 24, completed traditional marriage formalities with boyfriend, Chikore, at the family's Zvimba rural home in August, with the Qatar Airways pilot said to have paid US$35,000 in bride price.
And Mugabe, speaking during the commissioning of two double-storey hostels at Chishawasha Primary School in Goromonzi, revealed his daughter - one of three children - was ready to walk down the aisle.
With Bona present, Mugabe announced: "Our daughter, Bona, will next month be graduating with a Masters. Remember she first graduated with a Bachelors and next year in March she will be graduating again, but this time around it's a graduation to start a family.
"So we will be inviting you to the occasion."
Last Saturday, speaking openly about her daughter's marriage at a women's conference in Harare, First Lady Grace Mugabe said Bona was still a virgin.
"Way back, I asked my daughter whether she had a boyfriend since she was growing up the same way I did, a shy person and reserved, and she said there was someone," she revealed.
"... I told my daughter I am going to bring you up the traditional way. Do not ever let that boy touch your breasts or your body, you must have the honour to get married when you are still a virgin.
"She has listened to me and I spoke to Simba and I told him that I want my daughter to get married when she is still a virgin and he respects that."
