The deputy governor of northern Kwanza Norte province for political and social sector l, José Alberto Kipungo said Thursday in Kambambe municipality that the future Lauca dam as an economic giant that will significantly contribute to boost the development of the country, in particular the industrial sector.
Speaking to the mass media, at the end of visit by the deputy president of Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, carried out at future Lauca dam, being built at medium Kwanza river region, José Alberto Kipungo said that the government has all financial conditions to execute the works in nonstop process.
The future Lauca dam will have seven electric power generator units with a total production capacity of 2.069 megawatts (MW).
The two dams located in the medium Kwanza River, are key factors to boost the industrial sector, therefore promote the coming up of new industries in the other region of the country, he said.
During his visits to Kambambe and Laúca Dams, Deputy president of the Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, was accompanied by a top delegation, comprising members of Central and local government as well as other authorities.
