Lagos — Managing Director of Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics (LADOL), Dr. Amy Jadesimi has said her company would create more jobs for Nigerians following the commencement of its multimillion dollar fabrication yard operations.
Jadesimi,who disclosed this when her company was honoured by the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) said the award would go a long way to encourage her organization "to continue to expand on her company's investment in maritime and oil and gas ventures.
The commendation which include the presentation of an award plaque to the logistics company was part of the activities marking the Customer Service Week (CSW) 2013 of the Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa,
Dr. Jadesimi thanked government for institutionalizing the Local Content regime, saying the development has encouraged the organization towards the realization of its dream .
"Our operation is also a boost to the Local Content Board because more and more Nigerians are now being trained here. We are confident that this would soon multiply in triples when we complete our new phase of investment which would be the building of quay walls to support an Floating Production Storage and Offloading platform," she said.
Managing Director of NPA, Malam Abdullahi, commended the management of LPC for the initiative of recognising the partners, customers and employees of the port who have contributed immensely to its development. He said the initiative was unique and asked the port management to sustain it.
