THE provincial administration in Kuria East and West districts in Migori has been urged to fight female genital mutilation. Political leaders have been asked to educate their constituents to take their daughters to school.
Migori women's representative Dennitah Ghati asked chiefs and their assistants to be vigilant against FGM. In Migori, FGM is practised by the Kuria community during the November/ December holidays.
