Kenya: Saboti MP Tells Teachers to Watch Out for Extortionists

22 October 2013

Sabot i MP David Wekesa yesterday asked teachers to be wary of conmen in the area. Wekesa said the tricksters were using his name to solicit money from head teachers promising them money for development and laptops from the CDF.

He said teachers do not need to pay any 'facilitation' fee to access CDF project money as claimed by the conmen. Wekesa was speaking during a presentation of CDF cheques to various institutions yesterday. He said police are on the lookout for the conmen.
