Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has said a company that invests in Africa which is endowed with vast arable land and cheap labour would be profitable.
The Premier made the remark on the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) convened in Denmark, Copenhagen from 21-22 October 2013.
Hailemariam who represented Africa on the Forum has said the continent is registering the fastest economic growth next to Asia, adding that a company that invests in Africa would benefit a lot.
He stated that the continent is working to make the transformation of its economy from agriculture to industry consider green growth strategy.
Hailemariam expressed Ethiopia's keenness to welcome businesses and investors participated in the Forum if they opt to invest in renewable energy in the country.
Sate Minister of Publicity Affairs with the Office of the Prime Minister, Getachew Reda told ERTA that Ethiopia was invited to the Forum as a result of its fruitful green growth strategy.
The Forum discussed how governments can improve their investment policy framework to reduce the risk and attract long-term private finance in support of green growth.
