A 21-year-old candidate sat the first KCSE examination paper yesterday at the Kitui police station after he was arrested for chopping off the left palm of his Form Three girlfriend. Police said the boy attacked his girlfriend at 6.30 on Monday when she threatened to leave him after a quarrel.
The boy student, from Kyanika Secondary School, slashed her 17-year-old girl with a panga on the head, left shoulder and buttock. Police said the suspect will continue sitting the examination under the police custody.
