Kenya: Desks Moved Out of Nambale Exam Room

THE death of five Form Four students of Nambale Boys Secondary who perished in a road accident in April appears to haunt the students. The lockers of the five are not in the exam room for fear that their presence may affect the examination performance of 152 candidates sitting for KCSE.

Rodgers Ndubi index 86, Collins Odhiambo (96), Boniface Olaba (102), Wabwire Mukati (114) and Rogers Ojilong (144) died while on a geographical tour in Nakuru. "We are afraid the students may be disturbed by the lockers as they have the deceased photographs stuck on them," exam supervisor Sylvester Ouma said.Ouma said their question papers and answer booklets were kept away but they felt their lockers should also be moved.
