Interior ministry officials were today put to task to explain how 121 million was spent in meal allowances in the 2010/2011 financial year. National Coordination Ps Josephta Mukobe and her team told the PAC that the allowances were paid to officers who were involved in various meetings to discuss reforms. Mps were however unhappy with the answers given as the move was against a government policy which regulates how an employee gets allowances.
