Somalia: Somali Parliamentarian Accuses National Security Agencies for Failing to Maintain Security in the Country

Mogadishu — Abdi Bare Yusuf who is among the law makers in Somalia's parliament has accused national security agencies for failing to maintain security in Mogadishu. Mr. Bare accused the agencies of doing less to curb the daily and planned killings occurring in Somalia's capital.

On the other side, Mr. Bare accused the federal government of failing to pay some of the military and police officials in Mogadishu a factor which he noted to have contributed to the rising insecurity. The MPs words come at a time when security in Mogadishu is deteriorating.
