The Angolan Institute for Standards and Quality ( IANORQ ) should be provided with more technical capacity to develop standards that satisfy consumers with internationally recognised product quality.
The information was given to the press by the minister of Industry , Bernarda Henriques da Silva.
The minister was speaking at the end of the 8th Ordinary Session of the Commission for the Real Economy of the Cabinet Council of Ministers held Friday in Luanda . she said that on the basis of this initiative is the fact that the country still has some gaps regarding the rules and principles related to standardisation and quality . The official added that as the country does not have consistent standards in this segment , similar standards of organisation have been adopted to develop quality issues in Angola . Given these circumstances, the Ministry of Industry added, the Commission presented a proposal for Real Economy of how to act.
According to the minister, the authorities have decided to repeal any legislation for the sector and provide the institute with the technical capacity to develop its standards. The Cabinet Council Commission for Real Economy is a technical body of support for the Government head in the formulation , implementation and conduction of policies to promote the productive sector . It also provides support for the head of the Executive in fostering the productive sector in competitiveness and innovation policy to attract domestic and foreign investment . The Cabinet Council Commission for Real Economy is headed by the Vice President of the Republic , being assisted by the minister of Economy .
