THE 13th meeting of the National Assembly begins in Dodoma on Tuesday during which a number of Bills will be tabled and discussed by legislators.
A statement issued in Dar es Salaam by the Speaker's office said four of the bills - the written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No.3) Bill, 2013], The Referendum Bill, 2013, The GEPF Retirement Benefits Bill, 2013 and The Statistics Bill, 2013- would be brought to the august House for the second reading.
Alongside the Bills, the MPs will also discuss development plans expected to be implemented by the government during the 2014/2015 financial year, as well as two protocols and a declaration.
The Declarations, according to the statement are The East African Protocol on Cooperation in Defence Affairs; SADC Protocol on Finance and Investment and a declaration seeking to turn the Tengeru Community Development Training Institute into a government executive agency.
During the meeting MPs will pose 16 questions to the Prime Minister, Mr Mizengo Pinda while 125 others will be directed to ministers during the traditional question and answer sessions.
