Nigeria: Insecurity - a Sallah Festival Without Bloodshed

I was one of the sceptics who believed that the last Islamic celebration of Eid-Kabir or the Sallah festival would be celebrated in bloodshed, from terrorist attacks rather than the blood of the sacrificial lambs.

I had thought that rather than the ritual killing of cows and rams for religious sacrifice, human beings might be victims of slaughter by Boko Haram, as was being witnessed and reported in the past by the media.
