Death toll from recent Cholera outbreak in Namu village of Qua'pan Local Government Area of Plateau State has risen to 11. This is even as the Interim Administrator of Qua'npan, Vou Dido has warned in a telephone interview with Newsmen that if urgent steps were not taken to arrest the spread of the disease, more deaths would be recorded, adding however that the state emergency agency and the ministry of health have been trying to contain the situation.
THISDAY also gathered that more persons infected by the disease have been hospitalised at the sick bay in the local government capital. Also, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Agency, Mr. Alhassan Barde, also confirmed the rise in the death toll. He said one died late Thursday night, while the second died early Friday morning.
