Solwezi East United Party for National Development Member of Parliament Villie Lombanya says the chaos surrounding the delivery of inputs by the Ministry of Agriculture will lead to a poor yield next year.
Lombanya said his constituency had not received any seed or fertilizer despite the rain season having started.
He said the situation across North Western Province was the same with no inputs received.
"What is happening now is very sad and worrying, you see the government has not distributed the farming inputs as they claim and the rain season is upon us," Lombanya said.
"We have received neither seed nor fertilizer and yet we claim to have an economy driven by agriculture alongside of course Copper."
He added: "We are going to record a reduced harvest next year which could be a problem for the food situation in the country."
