Kenya: Govt to Close Down Unaccredited Colleges - Kipsang

Education Principal Secretary Dr Belio Kipsang has warned that colleges and other training institutions collaborating with foreign institutions that are not accredited by the Ministry of Education will be shut down.

Kipsang said all training institutions are required to be registered by the Ministry of Education before they begin operations. He said they should also ensure that the foreign colleges they are collaborating with have been duly accredited by the Ministry. "We shall close down any local colleges which violate this requirement," the Education PS said.
