Kenya: IDPs Get Cash, Relief Items

WA JIR Leaders at the weekend flagged off five lorries with non-food items for Internally Displaced Persons. The inter-clan conflict in Mandera spilled to Wajir, forcing residents in Gunana and Burmayow locations to flee.

Deputy Governor Abdihafid Yarow said the IDPs have set camp in Sarman location. The items included 1,900 mats, mattresses and bedsheets. Some 15,000 cash was donated to each of the 150 displaced families.
