Sierra Leone: Le56 Billion Earmarked for Roads Maintenance & Rehabilitation

Chief Executive Officer of the Roads Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA) yesterday disclosed to newsmen that they are committed to finance road maintenance and rehabilitation in the country in excess of Le56 billion.

Abdul Kalokoh, while emphasising that the RMFA is not responsible for the reconstruction or construction of new roads, maintained that most of the roads have gone beyond maintenance stage, and that they would move away from maintenance to finance rehabilitation work on roads without significantly altering the structure of the roads.
