The federal government has extended the appointment of Dr Emeka Ezeh as director general of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPP) for a second and final four-year tenure. The reappointment of Ezeh was contained in a letter from the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), Senator Anyin Pius Anyim, which was made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday.
In the letter, dated January 21, 2013 and titled 'Re-appointment As Director-general of the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP)', the federal government stated that the re-appointment took effect from January 22, 2013. The letter reads in part, "I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, has approved your re-appointment as the Director-General of the Bureau for Public Procurement for a second and final tenure of four years in line with Sections 7 (l) and (3) of the Public Procurement Act of 2007.
"The appointment takes effect from 22nd January, 2013, and emoluments and other conditions of service are as provided under the "The Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc) (Amendment) Act, 2008. Please accept my congratulations and best wishes on your appointment," the letter said.
