CURIO traders and boat operators in Malindi have comoplained of poor business due to low turnout of tourists. The traders blame the situation on insecurity and poor marketing strategy by the government.
Malindi Tourist Market chairman Joshua Musili said business is poor despite the onset of the peak season. "Normally at around this time in of the year, business would be booming. We used to make between Sh20,000 and Sh30,000 per month," he said.
