An Angolan delegation of the Oil Ministry headed by incumbent minister José Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos attended the 8th International Energy Week held in Russia.
According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy to the Russian Federation, the participation of the country was meant for the promotion of its potential in the field of energy, exchange of experience with other international partners and setting up of contacts with the local authorities for cooperation in the domain of energy.
On the other hand, minister Botelho de Vasconcelos also attended a round table on "Cooperation between the Russian Federation and African countries in the domain of energy", at the invitation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
On the fringes of the event, the Angolan minister paid courtesy visits to the Russian Federation's minister of Natural Resources and Ecology and to the deputy president of the Angola-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, with whom he reviewed matters related to cooperation between the two countries in the domain of energy.
The delegation that remained in Russia from October 21 31, included the Angolan ambassador to the Russian Federation, Joaquim Augusto de Lemos, high ranking officials from the Oil Ministry and Angolan diplomats in that European country.
