THE Zifa disciplinary committee is expected to pass judgment on Zifa technical director Nelson Matongorere who has been charged with misconduct next week.
The committee is chaired by Andrew Msengezi.
The disciplinary hearing was conducted last week and according to the Zifa legal advisor, Ralph Maganga both parties submitted their closing submissions.
"Both parties submitted their closing submissions, we are just waiting for the ruling from the disciplinary committee which I think should be sometime this coming week," said Maganga.
Matongorere stands accused of embarrassing the football association and the nation at large by voting as Zimbabwe senior soccer team captain Tapiwa Kapini in the 2012 Fifa World Player of the Year awards in the annual selection voted for by journalists, national team coaches and captains.
According to Fifa's official voting list, Matongorere voted as the Zimbabwe captain and chose Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona's Gerald Pique and eventual winner Lionel Messi in that order.
For the Coach of the Year, the former Sporting Lions coach had Barcelona's Pep Guardiola, Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho and Manchester United's Alex Ferguson.
Rahman Gumbo, who was the Zimbabwe Warriors coach then, ought to have voted for the Zimbabwe coach.
Other members of the disciplinary committee are Wilfred Mukuna, lawyers Musekiwa Mbanje, Wilbert Mandinde and Watson Muchengeti.
