Ethiopia: ERTA Working to Modernize Itself

Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency (ERTA) says it has been working to renovate itself with modern technology. Members of ERTA management board visited the Agency on Saturday. on the occasion, the board members vowed to help bridge gaps related to staff capacity building and budget.

According to Zeray Asgedom, ERTA Director General, over the past years, the Agency has been working to renovate itself with modern technology. The Agency has expanded its national radio and television coverage to 96 and 86 percent, respectively.

Overseas, it has reached parts of Africa, Europe, Middle East, North and South America, among others. During the visit, Zeray called on board members to assist in staff capacity building and other needs of the Agency. Chair of ERTA management board, Redwan Hussein vowed to help bridge gaps related to capacity and budget.
