NYATIKE MP Edick Anyanga has challenged the government to pay all war veterans who fought alongside Mau Mau for independence. He said many war veterans have been left out of the British goverment's compensation plan.
"Long after the second World War Kenyan government is still paying British army officers and pre-colonial security officers their petition while Kenyans who served with them wallow in poverty," Anyanga said. He said African homeguards who fought alongside the British colonialists in the second world war have not been paid any dues.
