Kenya: Kilifi Earmarks Sh100 Million to Boost Farming

Kilifi assembly members have told the county government to spend the Sh100 million budgeted for agriculture to empower farmers. The members said hunger and poverty are high because farmers lack modern farming technology.

Watamu ward representative Ibrahim Abdi said agriculture can promote development because there is ample land to produce surplus food.
