Kenya: Three Deny Power Theft

THREE suspects were on Friday charged with stealing electricity from Kenya Power. Hussein Ali Kitendo,Samuel Ndungu Kamau and Elmelda Khasiala denied the charges before resident magistrate CM Njagi.

Kitendo and Kamau wereallegedly routed a supply line without Kenya Power's consent on 31 October at Darad area in Diani Kwale. The two were released on a Sh200, 000 bond or cash bail of Sh100, 000 each. Their case will be heard on Januray 17, 2014.
